Rita Barbera, Mayoress of Valencia, accompanied
by Felix Crespo, Town Hall Counsellor of Fiestas
and Folklore, and the Fallera Queens for 2008,
visited the warehouses where dozens of artists
put the finishing touches to the gigantic
"Fallas" or papier mâché figures
that will be erected on gigantic monuments all
over Valencia, and will burn on the night of the
19th March.

invited Ricardo Costa, national

to present a book "Bet on Spain"
(Apuesta por España), to attend
the Firecrackers Show or "Mascleta"
that takes place daily in the main
square outside the Town Hall of
Valencia.

COUNCIL PRESENTS VALENCIA TOURISM AT BERLIN
SHOW

The
Valencia County Council is promoting
Valencia tourism with a stand at the
42nd edition of the International
Tourism Show in Berlin - ITB, where
100,000 professionals will present
their tourism offers to 180,000
visitors at the 150,000 square metres
exhibition, till the 9th March.

STILO ABARTH AUTOMATIC CARS - A WARNING TO
DRIVERS
We advise our
readers that a fault in the electronic system of
the gear shift of Fiat automatic drive cars,
causes sudden stoppages that can produce
whiplash to the driver. This has been the
experience of our editor while driving an
automatic Fiat Stilo Abarth. The stoppages are
also highly dangerous if they take place when
passing out another vehicle, or in heavy
traffic.
